... it's for the iPhone, and as with most of their recent run of commercials, it has someone standing in front of a black backdrop and giving detail of their iPhone experience. This pilot talks about his plane (in Chicago) being delayed and how him having the iPhone allowed him to check the weather and let his dispatcher know that a storm has passed and they could take off.
I have a tendancy to associate products/companies too much with their commercial. If the commercial sucks (not in a not funny way, but a it makes no sense way), I have a hard time being at all interested in it. This is a perfect example. I'm pretty sure we have the internet in Chicago and at our airports. And I'm pretty sure dispatchers wouldn't delay a flight for three hours based on what they heard on the 10:00 news. But apparently they needed the help of a pilot and his magical iPhone (the only device in the world to have internet access).
